Funky sounds coming from my transmission.

Well after lusting for a 5th gen civic for years now, I finally got one.
But I noticed a funky noise coming from the trans ( I Belive) on take off.
It kinda sounds like a spaceship from the jetsons cartoon. I really havent gotten to drive the car much since I just got it today and I dont have plates on it yet.
Has anyone else had this occur? What is that damn noise? A broken eng/trans mount?

my tranmission makes a weird noise too..(at least i think its my trans) but mine sounds like a lil pebble is hopping around in there ;x

funky sounds? like george clinton and the parliament funkadelic? does it sound like 'new spaceship' or 'mothership connection' or is it more of a 'supergroovalisticprosifunkstication'..... j/k

try changing the tranny fluid (use either lightweight synthetic or honda mtf) would be the easiest step and if it still makes noise, maybe you should take it to a tranny shop and have them atleast drive it and see what they think then go from there

damn dude, i've heard of clinking and stuff but never space jet noises. lol. try the tranny fluid

The only thing I can think of is the throwout bearing. If you replace it go ahead and do your clutch and pressure plate. If they are still under warranty.
