i have a cx manual w/o a tachometer, and it kills me..ok mow im wondering if i get a gauge cluister w/ tachometer that will fit my car, would it work?
the "rpm thing" is called a tachometerOriginally posted by GOOSE
so even if u dont have a RPM thing if u put on lets say Si cluster with RPM thing itll work.. for EXAMPLE .. 98 DX hatch ... cause i dont got RPM thing and it drives me crazy..!
Wait wait wait... let me get this straight... so since my didn't come with a stock tachometer and if I get a one with it (an EX for example), it will bolt in, but do I have to do any wiring to make the tach work? Or is there already a plug for the tach and it's just not plug in for the clusters without the tachometer?Originally posted by abej6
it will work... any cluster from any civic 96-00 will fit, and work in another 96-00 civic..
direct bolt on...
YES IT WILL WORK ! You will Not have to do any wire or anything like that. it will plug right in no problem. your set of wires that are going into your cluster now have extra plugs on them, im pretty sure Honda made them so they will only go into the correct socket. you cant mess it up.Originally posted by SiGSR

WOW you got your SiR cluster for 50! I got mine for $150 and I thought that was a good deal! Well wait are you talking about the one from Canada or the real black and orange one? I got the Black and orange one.Originally posted by tampabud
Homegrown is right, all it takes it to take out your old cluster, plug in the new cluster, and screw it in!!! I bought my cluster for my old hatch for $50 from a wrecked civic SiR.
