looking for ideas for gauge placements. theres the gauge cluster twin pod holder, pillar pods and then custom placements. i was thinking about placing 3 under the radio on the climate control. but they won't fit. so i was thinking about taking the two vents in the center of the climate control out and customizing them to fit there. any ideas?

How big are the guages you're trying to fit? Ive seen 3 guages fit into a single din so these must have some size to them..

OEM head unit is 1.25 din, so the space you have underneath your cd player is only .75 din, thats why your gauges wont fit there, OC's panel is 1.25 din and the gauges fit perfect. if i were you i'd relocate your head unit and make a dual din block off, and then do something cool with some gauges.

ok i understand more clearly why now.

do you think it would be difficult to place three gauges where the two vents in the climate control are? i never use the forward air vents, only underneath and front window.

problems that i see that would arrise are the curved surfuce and clipping points. but if i do succeed, i will def do i write up

Wouldnt you be destroying your climate control by doing so? Arent the vents molded into the unit?
If you decide to go that way, then definitely do a write-up :thumbs up

instead of relocating your headunit down to the cupholder area, why dont you just put the gauges down there? thats what i plan on doing

some are too large AND i thnk that spot is out of place.. when you are looking at a fuel pressure gauge while on a nitrous run.. the last thing you want to do is try to look down at an angle.. being able to clearly tell what the gauge is reading (at that spot) is IMO fairly difficult..

thats exactly my point as well and same with the radio. yea i have a remote but still. i dont wanna look down.

if you look at what jezek was trying to do with his gauges, its almost the same what i wanna do. ( climate controls are different) but i can cut where the vents are without cutting the face of the climate control.

bump for a part number or website to order. I'm assuming that black piece where the gauges are, aren't meant to house gauges correct? what does it look like without the gauges?? or is it meant to house those gauges?
