Gears not wanting to go into gear? Especially reverse?

Its not a huge problem, but every so often, my gears wont shift into place. Il try but it seems they dont want to go in. I notice it the most in Reverse, when I shift into reverse, its almost as if it gets stuck and doesn't want to go in. I tried changing my transmission fluid, but it still does this. Any ideas?:???:

Reverse is common since reverse has no synchro's. Put it into any forward gear, release the clutch just a tad like it wants to move forward then reverse. It'll help align the gears. As for the forward gears is it all of them or just some? If just some, which ones? If all what year, engine/tranny you have?

I have a stock D15B7 atm, Its a 95 Civic DX, But it differs. Sometimes first gear, and sometimes 5th gear. Some times 4th, but not as much. Its like if something was in its way, so it cant go in.

Have you checked the shift linkage to make sure it's not binding?

Il check that, I haven't yet, since its my DailyDriver, but I'll look into that. Yea weird but it was fine today, all gears were fine. It happens ever so often like I said. But it becomes a real problem pulling out of a parking spot or reversing into the driveway.

it happens with most manual cars. because it has gears the teeth wont always line up to go into gear. that's why sometimes you might have to go into first and roll the car forward a inch or so and then try to see if the gears have moved enough to line up with reverse.

my mr2 likes to refuse to go into reverse unless i roll it forward a bit.

Okay, cool, as long as its a normal thing, then I'm fine with it. I never noticed it on my 93 EG hatch... Then again it had a B18 and stage3 clutch. But thanks anyways.
