I am trying to write a argumentative paper about free trade and how it is beneficial to economies, but I have hit a writers block, and was wondering if anyone had any links, examples or ideas to toss out for me. :(

Thanks guys

Example...

Free trade = competition = better goods at lower prices for consumers = more teenage bitches pumping daddy's money into the economy

wellthink about it like this, the world has oh say 3 trillion all together, ok? (i know there is more but oh well) lets say its split up evenly between each country. now if one country buys from another, they help that countries economy, and then that one in return will then help the other. bad case being that we buy from japan, then turn around and sell the product to another country at a higher price, which then in turn would f**k over japan and the other country. i know that not many people would get this, but its how it would work...kinda...

for a writing 122 class, my teacher is super cracked out and does not explain or give any details about the papers.

thanks for the input guys
He gives you a topic and you write about it, if he wanted you to have specifics he would tell you them, he doesn't teach at a college because he looked cool, he obviously knew what he was doing.

He has the same ideas a me, if you go to a writing class, why should a teacher narrow your options for writting, he's allowing you unlimited options to write about fair trade.

sorry i should have developed my last post better. I dont mind have the unlimited potential to write about a topic its just in class she rants about aristotle and plato and no one has any idea what is going on, we get assignment, write paper, turn them in and hope for the best. That is why I said my teacher is cracked out.

One thing is for sure. Free trade and globalization brought you high gas prices, high food prices, that's for sure...

Do the research.

free trade is beneficial to the countries that are rich. like all these free trade agreements the US has made. the people that accept them get rich cause they are the same ones that own all the manufacturing/production so they say yeah lets do it. all the other people in the country get f**ked up over. why do u think the economies of latin america and other free trade territories are worse now than before.

with free trade it becomes cheaper to buy imported goods than it becomes to buy your own countries goods. but rich countries like the us subsidize their farmers so that they can cut the prices of their products and sell em outside the us. thereby outselling the local farmers/etc of these other countries. just an example.

there are benefits to free trade but the cons totally outweigh them. that is of course if we look at it from a just sociecty pt of view. from a cutthroat perspective theres nothing better.
