talked to a local shop they said 180 bucks and 24hrs to take my ECU and chip/socket it with a basemap on CROME. basemap is so I can drive it till my injectors come in then put the turbo on and injectors and they will tune it ... it will obviously be costing more money for the dyno time/tuning ... but thats for the basic stuff.

pretty sure redshift sends them out to one of those companys anymore... But they get a discounted price, and they don't rip people off, so they charge 90 bucks.

the reason I was just going to pay them to do it, is so that when they tune it, its all set ... I was going to purchase a chipped ecu w/crome + data cable and Otrich burner from moates.net so that I could bring it somewhere and tune it - if I pickup those 3 things ... everything should work right?

I cant actually tune it myself but the dataport should allow them to plug in and log data and the Ostrich should allow them to upload new maps directly to the chip correct?or am I just a noob?
