Eventhough I have a hb 1990 si, I have always liked the hb 92-95. I want to buy a hb 95 but was wondering what type of engine will work good for this car? Other than this engine... what other mods will it required to hit over 200hp? I want to use it as a daily driver so I would need to keep it "legal" for california emission tests or at least as close as possible.

Thanks

Forced induction... Is it even possible to get a civic to break 200hp without forced induction? I really like the guy on honda-tech with the 262hp stock turbo d16z6 hatchie... Thing amazes me...

the only 2 civic motors i would use would be the b16a2 (170 hp 117 tq.) or the b16b(CTR 185 HP?)
i think ud would need turbo or something of that nature to get 200 hp out of the si but the civic type r you would probably need just a few bolt ons.

wow thats some super misinformation there. it takes a bit more than bolt ons to make 200 whp on a 1.6 liter. to get that takes a complete rebuild of the motor and about 10 grand in parts. a bit more than "bolt ons". and limiting yoruself to only 1.6l motors is.. well im not even gonna go there, i dotn want to hurt your feelings.
