i swapped in a b16a2 from a si and got a greddy turbo kit on it. i bought it used and didnt have the wiring right for the blue box. my friend andi finally got it hooked up yesterday and holy s**t does it move. it still needs tuned a bit. now the bad news i lost to a f**kin neon. it was a new srt but he had the upgraded turbo on it and he said he was at 330hp. i think hes full of s**t though cause i didnt lose by much. i need a better launch but how good can u get in 2 days.

yeah i agree with you too. anyone (with the money) can go out and drop 20k for a car that already has a turbo. i think its a lot more impressive to see someone take that money and put it into a car that wasn't origionally intended to race and make that car fast. it says a lot about the person too. anyway, where in pa are you?
upgraded turbo? Maybe an upgraded compressor wheel, but probably not the entire turbo. 99.95% of the srt's are still running the factory turbo.
As far as i know, the only one with an upgraded turbo (that is online), is running a t3/t4 and some nitrous, hitting 12.4's @111. I saw him out at the track around here, running mid-low 13's (i was quicker than him that night)

who cares if the dealer built it? i'll admit, the srt-4s do make a lot of power. and they do have a lot of low end muscle- 250 lb/ft is a hell of a lot. but its still not that impressive to me. they are 2.4 liter right? the s2000 is a 2.2 and it makes more power (240hp i believe) and it has a smaller engine and no turbo. granted, it is a lot more expensive and is in a different class (2 seater roadster vs. 4 door economy racer), but its the principle. also, think of all the b16s and b18s out there that have turbos. yeah they may not have as high of numbers as the srt-4, less hp, and quite a bit less torque, but they can still be fast as hell. all around too, not just in a straight line. i think the srt-4 mainly targets the all out drag racers who only care about lauching in a straight line and not making any turns. the srt-4 is quick for the money, but i would rather build my own car that can be driven fast all around. i would never take a 4 door neon, no matter how cheap it was or how fast its 0-60 and 1/4 mi was. i prefer to spend my money making my 2 door honda not only fast, but also look a little different than everyone else's too. imo, there is only so much you can do with a 4 door neon. but thats just me, everyone has their own ideas. spend 20 grand on a neon if you want- its your money. me, i always go honda. give me vtec or give me death!dirtyd16 said:oh wait, that was for a 2003, the 2004s are putting out 250 lb/ft and 230 HP
