When i bought my car back in July the rear speakers didn't work. So im looking at some new speakers all around. Anyone swap out their stock speaker with some new ones? If so which ones did ya get? Which ones could i not go wrong with? I dont have a system yet, so these will be the only thing ill be hearing

On a stock head unit? Some cheap Pioneers will be fine.

Should be able to get some coaxials for about $35 if you shop around.

The above choices are better speakers if you are not using the OE stereo

I got a cheap aftermarket deck in there right now. I plan on getting a new head unit w/the speakers.

They blow real easily? I am sure they can handle the "mind blowing power" of a factory h/u. That and powering premium speakers off a factory h/u is a bit like putting 108 octane in a D15B7. It's wasteful and no good will come from it.

Nothing against the Alpines. With a quality head unit and/or amp they are far superior to the Pioneers. But it all comes down to the old GIGO. I don't care how good the speaker is, a weak garbage signal is going to sound like crap.

EDIT: since you are getting a new head unit with the speakers my arguement is pretty much a moot point. ;)
