Good Turbo?

My buddy might be selling me his whole turbo setup off his talon it's a SlowBoy Racing Big 16G. I have an LS motor, how would this turbo go with my engine? i was thinking of just rebuilding the engine with stock internals and shot peened rods. Just wondering how it'd do.. i'd like to be able to get around 250-300 horsepower

a 16g is a nice sized turbo....might a have a lil lag....but hella good pull on the top end.....i say go for it....i dont even think lag is a big deal
