So I am not big on audio, but the other day I got a free amp and a cheap sub. Here is my problem, the amp is a sony XM-554zr the 600 watt 4/3 channel amp. The amp is 130W RMS and the sub is is a power bass 10" and it says 300W peak. Will they run ok togeather or will I melt a voice coil.

I think that's one of the Sonys availiable at WalMart.

bridged, It'll run the sub just fine. but don't expect too much and you won't be let down.

I never expect much, I dont really listen to much with bass, but a little extra wasnt going to hurt. I know it is a walmart amp, but it was a free walmart amp, then i got the powerbass and a sealed box for $30 I just didnt want to turn it up until I knew I wasnt going to f**k something up

The speaker is 200W RMS, so I would turn down the gain on the amp to 3/4 or 4/5, and have at it.... you wont cook either that way..... =)

Thank you for shoppign at Kmart, err Spawlmart, errr, Walmart. ;)

its cool, i know you were joking, I was just backing myself up a little so people gont go around thinking i use walmart parts to mod my car. I am better than that, I use autozone for the only mod on the buick. =) I now have a 3.8 buick with an air horn =)
