i got a 97 civic ex and my problem is first my car was having trouble starting , then when i got it started it keeps stalling on me everytime i would stop and try to go again.
i took it to a shop and now they're telling me that they are 99 percent sure its the something wrong with the distributor missfiring and that after checking the wiring and spark plugs and everything that spark plug 2 was working fine but 1 and 3 were f**ked so they gave me two choices either get a new ignitiong module and take a risk that, that might me the problem or something else or just buy a new distributor for about 400$ plus labor since they say " they are 99 percent sure " thats wats causing the car to stall everytime .
i wanna now if some1 had the same problem or if they could tell me any advice on what i should do . thanxs for any advice

spend the $60 - $80 on an electrical diagnostic and be 100% sure....its better than buying expensive parts that may not fix the problem...by the way...are you from rochester???

i think it's not the distributor itself, just the ignitor and the coil inside the distributor...just try to change those first. It's alot cheaper and you can do it yourself. Honda's ignitor and coil usually goes around 100,000 miles fyi.
