Just got a call from HR manager at General Dynamics. I got offered for a co-op job position for engineering! It's basically a full-time 40 hrs/week job where I break from school and work. I need three co-op's to graduate from school, and this one counts as two. Without getting into detail, it's testing/developing and implementing systems for missiles for submarines in the U.S. Navy. Requires a Top Security Clearance as well. Technically it's a Government job...
The best part, it's RIGHT in my hometown.. which is awesome.
Here's the kicker. My girlfriend was in the running for the job too. I already told her I was offered the job and accepted. She gave me the sarcastic "woo", and I'm pretty sure she's upset with me. But this is a HUGE career move for me, so I think I would have been a fool to decline.
The other kicker. I actually have a second interview for an IT job at Corporate Anheuser-Busch today. Pays less, and it would require that I find housing close to their corporate location.. but it's freakin Budweiser! lol.
