I about to turbo my civ and the greddy pro looks so cool but I was wondering besides being a boost controler what else does it do. And what is emanage? anyway any info would be helpful.

e-manage is GReddys piggyback....and profec rocks your nuts, totally get it. I think they have a Profec II out now :what:

But what does it do. I can use a pocket knife to turn up or down the boost and it only cost a couple a bux for a pocket knife. I think I just like the porfec cause it looks cool.

-Large LCD with EL backlighting. (whew, this is very important ahha)

-Links up to the e-Manage to control all of it's functions. (obviously only usefull if you have emanage)

-Boost, duty cycle and gain can all be adjusted at different RPM's, or use the full auto mode and just set the boost to whatever value you want.

-Can datalog the following for up to 3 hours * - see note: Boost, AFM input, AFM output, throttle position, RPM, injector duty cycle, boost control solenoid duty cycle, any 2 digital signals (wideband O2, narrowband O2, etc), any 2 analog signals (speed, knock sensor, etc), and any GReddy P/H gauge! (cool features start now)

-Can warn when any signal hits any value you set. It can even reduce the boost automatically if a value is reached! (hondata can do this, not sure what your running)

-Uses a compact high volume solenoid which can control boost up to 3 kg/cm2 (43psi). (you;ll never boost that much)

-Works with the Remote Switch System for overtake boost

Since when does it looking cool have to do with it being awsome? Oh wait I remember. Ever since people starting being ricers. Right.

well when my car goes turbo I will have a use for it and its not like I would get one before I got a turbo. All I am saying when I say it looks cool is that it looks a hell of a lot better than any other boost controler. If there wee 2 exhaust kits that rendered the same level of performance would it be "RICE" to make a decesion based on apperance? The reason I started this discussion was to determine if the profec is worth the extra cash I understand what a boost controler does what I was looking to find out was what were some of the other features of the profec. As it stands now I dont think the fact that the profec looks better makes up for the price difrence between it and other boost controlers but if it has some other trix up its sleeve .....

mbc are great for their price but they also have their down sides. my friend lost the spring in his and now his car wont boost past 7psi when he was running at 14 and good luck trying to find the right spring we looked everywhere. with the greddy unit you wouldnt run into this problem and also not only will your boost gauge give you your boost but so will your boost controller. if you have the money go for it.

how did your friend lose it?? was he taking it apart?!?!?!!? the only downside you stated was due to a friends stupidity. HOLY s**t!!!!, the boost controller tells you your boost!! NO WAY!! thats awesome!!........

i dont know how he lost it, he did do it in the middle of the night outside of one of our friends dorms. yes it was his fault but it still is a draw back if you loose it your screwed. If you have the money to put in to the greddy unit i say go for it, it is a better product overall.
