Hi all

I'm new here at the forum.

Another day my civic, model from 96 to 2001, the green key light on the dashboard start blinking and the car can't start. After reinserting the keys once or twice the engine starts. This situation is a bit anoying because I took the car to the Honda dealer and for my luck the car
starts well there. They told me that they can't do anything until the car arrives there faulty. Is that possible that they can't do anything until the car really arrives there dead? I can't think that Honda never had this situation before, with thousands of civics like mine around the country, someone probably had the same problem and Honda fixed it. Anyone experienced this before?

Some time ago I had a VW polo with a similar problem and it was the immobiliser reader coil. Can be similar situation with my civic?

Any ideas will be welcome

96-2001 ?? anyway yes your car if 2001 is equipped with an immobilizer and probably has somthing to do with that.

OP: You're going to confuse a lot of US readers by telling them it's a 2001. Just tell them it's a 6th Gen Civic and you'll spare a lot of people a lot of cognitive dissonance.
