doesnt really take that long... mine took me like 2 hours, but I messed up a few times and had a couple problems to work around with tools, I bet it would take an hour or so the 2nd time around. If you actually do it, I suggest not using glue. instead, take the gutter guard and use the screws that hold the black part to the colored frame and screw the top of the gutter guard down with that. Its plenty of hold it up, and it makes the bottom fit a lot better into the bumper if you dont glue it. I used glue the first time around, but ended up taking it off and ripping all the hot glue off and using the screws.

I actually like the design of the 99/00 grilles. I also prefer the EX design (with the painted border) over the Si grille. My friend made his own for his 98 hatch. It does look better than stock, if you're pimpin a 96-98 grille.

get a SI grill. call up your local honda dealer for info.. you'll need the grill and the molding.. just tell them you need that entire grill kit.

Would an 99-00 SI front and rear bumpers fit on a 96 civic ex ? Or at least the rear cause the headlights are a bit different.

rear, yes. front, no. the front has different hood, grill, quarter panels, bumper, and lights.

that type r grille says "type r" on it. my car isn't a type r.

but i somewhat agree.... because, imho, honeycomb > mesh

unless you really look hard at it, i cant tell the difference... like anything over 3 feet away it looks the same, especially since i spray painted my mesh black before i put it in
