i need someone opion here...i was told that i can run a GSR fuel pump in my civic with the 7psi of boost and it should be good to go. But then someone else told me to get the Walbro 255 fuel pump instead. I have a GSR fuel pump that i can get for nothing! So what do everyone think, should i get the GSR pump or get the Walbro 255 instead. I am putting a 450cc injector in on wednesday. Or can i use a LS pump to??

the gsr will do you fine and so will your stock one if your not running the full 450cc (it cuts out somewhere in the 300's).

Right now i am running 7psi on stock injector and stock fuel pump and when i am in 2nd gear around 6500ish rpm it seem like it is cutting my fuel off.

thats probably detonation because your stock injectors are too small to be running almost any amount of boost. what turbo do you have? do you have a way to control your fuel mixture ie afc or chipped?

I am runing stock right now, i do have a chip ecu with crome but for some reason i can't get it to work! once it is plug in it work through s CEL and i would run in limp mode. i am waiting for a new ecu as we talk.

i have not seen concrete evidence that a gsr pump has more flow potentential than the single cam pump.. if anyone can show some factual data on this id be very interested..

a walbro 195 pump would probably be good as it can be used with next to no modification to the factory fuel system

a walbro 255 pump (what i use on my y8 with nitrous) is even better IMO but requires some fuel system modifications.. the return orfice on the factory reg is not large enough to return enough fuel to keep the pressure in a workable range.. there are two solutions for this.. the first is to open up the return orfice to relieve some pressure at the rail. the second solution is to purchase a fuel pressure regulator with adjustable return orfices (like the AEM unit)

i dont know s**t about boost.. but i know a decent amount about fuel pumps...

OC is right.. the stock pump will provide enough fuel pressure for low boost, provided you step up the injector size..
IMO, I'd go with a 190 Walbro on 450s, and you should be golden.. Until you decide to go 10-12+ psi... then you'll need a different rail, reg and pump..

I'm running a 190lph and 450s, B18C, stock rail and fpr, 10psi, no lean issues at all..

thats fine as long as you address the overfueling issues at part throttle and idle...
