Gsr V/s Type R Which Should I Get?

i CAN GET A TYPE R FOR AROUND 4500.00 OR A GS FROM MY FREINDS TEGRA.
WHICH ONE WOULD DO BETTER IN MY BIG BODY EX? ASLO WHAT WOULD I HAVE TO DO TO THE GS TO MAKE IT A GSR BESIDES A VTEC HEAD?

I don't think you can make a gs a gsr. two differnt engines. kinda like having a b18b block and putting a gsr head on it. it doesn't make it a gsr, it makes it a LS/Vtec.
If your going N/A with your car get the b18c5. if you plan to turbo go with the gsr. any civic and ingegra engines can swap. so you don't have to worry about if it fits.

u cant make a gs-r from a gs. gs is an ls engine, all u could do wit that is ls/vtec if u were to try and get the gsr head on there but u would still have to machine it or get a kit for it. Type R all the way.

Get the type r, i just got a 97 itr in my ek hatch and it hauls ass.Even with the stock exhaust and all. Gotta love the fact that the redline is at 8900 rpm. And it also comes with better gearing for the first and second gear and it comes with a stock helical lsd. My car has made some people "believers" of honda.
