Personally I would just turbo your stock motor with the gt28r and then build the motor and put a bigger turbo on it later. That turbo will max out a stock d-series.

i believe atpturbo.com has an upgrade kit for the gt28, but im pretty sure it was only like 200 bucks cheaper than buying a whole new turbo.

But even a gt28rs would be maxing out at 300whp on a d.

300whp is plenty for a FWD civic. you can only go so far until you start hitting traction problems and cant even put down the power.

gt2871r w/ the .64 ar turbine housing

you could actually rebuild your gt2860r to this, too!

So you gonna tune it, take motor out, build, buy new turbo, retune all for 300miles?

Robbie, slow down, lol. Boost on that stock motor will be fine for a while. I had plenty fun with mine. Nobody could keep up (remember I live in a small town). You need to learn to drive a 200whp car before you go for crazy power, believe me. Build one on the side.

Oh and if you're interested I got A LOT of spare parts for a d-series. Bare short block, dx tranny, complete y8 swap, etc.

Pm me if you're interested.
