guage cluster issues

alright i have a 91 civic hatch standard model with the cluster that has no rpm tack

i found a cheap cluster from a 88 sedan all the plugs line up except this one blue one on my car dosnt have any were to plug into on the new cluster

it plugs into some white box with two little wires comeing out of it on the stock cluster

can i make this work or do i need to pick up a diff. cluster from a certan car

could really use some input thanx

i know what ur talkin bout but im not shure what that white box does, i know its not the lights, i know it does something with the speedo, try plugin every thing else in and drving it and see if it works.

no if you have a 91 hatch then you will need a cluster from a 90-91 civic. A 88-89 cluster will not fit your 91.

its a little bit different sized, but i think you may run into trouble, the DX version dosent have a tach, but the SI does. apart from it not fitting 100% correctly i think you may have to re-wire being that you have a DX which is standard.

look at ebay... i just got a si cluster for my hatch for like 35 bucks...

if you got an 88 it will not work plug and play with a 90 or a 91 they are compatible 88-89 ONLY and 90-91 ONLY if you want to get that cluster working on your hatch youll have to rerire it but its pointless go thru all that s**t just sell it and make sure you get a 90 or 91 and it will work plug and play rewiring is only worthit when installing another cluster JDM DA GSR S2000 if not then its pointless doing all that bullshit and messing up the cables

im pretty sure that white box just isnt necessery im not sure though
