hey, here is my dilema, for my 97 civic ex i have a garret t3/t4 turbo lined up. well i would be turbocharging my d16 which is not bad but is going to cost me around 1300dollars. well i was think maybe to get an engine swap instead of putting the turbo on first(right now its just sitting in my room). because my engine has about 140k on it and is by no means new. well i was wanting to swap in a h22a and was wondering if it is possible to do that in my civic. and how hard it is. or should i forget about it and stick with the d16 turbo. ANY Feedback would be great. Thanx.

ok first of all i think u should turbo the d16 cuz that sheit pulls....if u kno peeps who turbo that motor u would kno that they like it.................2nd...puttin a h22 in ur 97 would be great and all BUT ur goin to get into lots of probs with that motor cuz its too big for that car......too big as in the motor is pretty big compared to other hondas

well the motor will fit with mounts etc, but your NEVER going to get a t3/4 turbo in there to...my suggestion....buy a b18c1(3-3500$) a b18b(2-2500) b16a2(2-2500) and boost that....

yea, boost yer d16, or if anything, rebuild yer engine with better/newer parts so that it'll last longer with the boost.

you need to not get that turbo, that f**kers way too big. and your stock sleeves arent gonna like that much boost either. you'll need dartons to run much over 8-10 psi safely. and a t3/4 is too much for a d running 14-15 psi, the thing will lag like a mofo, unless you like having a 2000 rpm powerband, get something smaller.
