hard suspension

Sup, I was wondering if every civic has harsh suspension like mine does. I recently replaced the front shocks thinking they were shot with dropzone shocks and it is still a pretty bumpy ride. I lowered the tire pressure to 30psi and it got a little better but not quite as good as other cars that I have driven. My car is not even dropped. Any suggestions?

dropzones are s**t. plus, if your car is lowered, then face it, your car is going to ride like a brick (lowering springs ride better than coil overs). Plus if you've got a large rim, anything larger than stock, but more prenounced on say 16 and above, then the car will also ride like s**t. Add them together, and there you go.

I have Si rims on with dunlops 205/50 15r tires. Could be the stock springs that are s**t. Any little bump that I hit feels like the car is bottoming out. Maybe I should cut the bump stops on the shocks for a little more travel.

do you have stock springs or aftermarket?? cutting the bump stops is not a good idea unless you're lowering your car. they're there to keep you from bottoming out and causing more damage to your suspension.

stock springs I have :D . I would get some dropped springs but I want to get a body kit first, so I will leave it alone for now. I would nt take the bump stops off completely just cut them a little bit . They are kinda long.
Peace

My 4dr is lowered with Arospeed coilovers and Tokico shocks riding on 16" rota's with 40 series tires. My ride is pretty smooth. If course stiffer than stock though. My car is lowered 2"

i dont think it has anything to do with weather or not you have springs or coilovers...i have coilovers now and it rides better and smoother than it did stock...it just depends on what kind, cause basically your getting what you paid for...i have skunk2, so i can expect to have a better ride
