Has anyone tried this ECU chipped p75 with d16y7

i recently bought this ecu which is a new 37820-P75-A01 ecu that has been chipped. i bought it and they said that it will work with my car which is a 97' civic dx d16y7 motor(sohc non-vtec). ive looked the ecu up and it says that it goes to a 92-95 integra ls/gs 1.8l motor with manual tranny. has anyone tired this? and if so what happend good or bad???

if its manual, it shouldnt be a big deal, but im not sure

you will be fine as long as you use the right basemap, they are both non vtec

I have done this and i had mixed thoughts about it. First i got mine off of EBAY. I paid 175 for the ecu and 100 for the wiring harness. The b***h pulled really hard right off the bat and DOES raise your rev limiter but at like 1,500 rpm it started tugging real hard. it also felt like it would only pull up tp a certain rpm in each gear and going down ythe highway with the air on yeah right! you damn near had to ride in 4th and 3rd just to go up hills abd forget passing and another thing it would idle werid right after you started it it would go up and down then turn the air off then on and it would stop. so there ya go. i have also done many other things to my car if you have any other questions. good luck guessohw@yahoo.com

I've been reading alot about this subject. Suposedly if it is chipped correctly it will work.Iv'e found a few websites about chipping computers. I'm reading this one now http://www.pgmfi.org
