ok so i just went from a kenwood kdc-4032 to a alpine cda-8931 and i cant seem to get my subs to hit for s**t ive tried everything i can think of aside from adjusting the amp on the subs ... this f**kin thing has way too many adjustments and its all in hz and s**t

whatever happened to sub level, bass, trebel, fader, and balance.

and before anyone asks, no i didnt buy a hatch i just figured they would be the most comprable in open air and cabin size to an xcab truck

Is your sub not working or is it just weak?

if it isnt working try checking the "remote" wire that is connected to the amp.

go into menu. there is a sub on and off. there is usually also a sub volume level. I had the same problem when i installed my sub with my alpine head unit. i screwed around with the head unit and eventually got it to work. good luck.

alpine decks have a sub on/off option and a sub level (max 15 i believe) try setting it to max and see if that helps...it should or change your gains...as the two decks might have been delvering different output voltages (maybe like 2v vs. 4v)

i just wanna say i agree with prophetofsin...the deck should have a sub on off and sub level. id also check the output voltage on the deck itself if it isnt a new unit and the gain on the amps as u mentioned. i like alpine head units but they aren't very user friendly.
