I just put a new head unit in my car and my constant power wire doesn't work so I was wondering if there was another way to run a wire straight frum the battery to the head unit for the constant without it killing the battery? Or if anyone has another way to do it so the meomory doesn't get erased every time u turn off the car?

Use a tester and find another wire that is constant...

go to radio shack or a car parts store and see if they have what is called a fuse tap. its a sleeve with two metal prongs on the end. The fuse fits in the sleeve and plugs in the alotted fuse location. ive seen two of these one has a male end on it other does not. run a wire with a female connector end if you find the adapter that has a male end if not then what I used to do was wrap the wire around a spare fuse prong and plug it back in. now you have a hot wire that has a fuse designated for it in case something shorts out no damage is caused on the fuse panel, etc.

u could also tap into the wires in the ignition circuit and get a 12v source

Theoretically you can attach it to any hot wire but if you tap into the ignition wire you run the risk of it shorting out then your car isn't gonna start. Best option is to run it from a spare fuse in your panel that way it has it's own fuse protected circuit
