I just got a obx header........so i lost my cat converter...at high rpms i back fire, and today it backfired and almost stalled out, if i put my stock muffler back on would this help the problem because i think the back pressure a stock muffler makes would prevent all the back firing. Thanks

No the obx header has no cat, so i now dont have one cuase the stock one is built into the exhaust manifold, i have one of the o2 sensors on, not the one that used to go in the cat cause i have no spot for a cat now. Could it be caused by a bad gasket cause i used older gaskets cause the header was used, i may have a leak could that cause a back fire, sorry its hard to exlpain.

josh u sound like u dont know what ur saying. The o2 sensor should be able to fit into the obx header and if the cat was taken off it shouldnt backfire. Backfir happens when not enough exhaust can get out like if ur cat is plugged. If you dont have one then it shouldnt backfire. Its prolly ur 02 sensor.
