Headlight on indicator

Is there an indicator bell for when you leave the headlights on after shutting off the engine. I have drained by battery various times by forgetting to turn off my headlights. Ive looked through the manual to see if there was one but i couldnt find it. I owned a 92 hatch and I could swear it had an indicator when the lights where on after the ignintion (like when the door opens and you leave your keys in the ignition). Is there an indicator bell ? if there isnt, could I wire the key-in-ignition indicator to ring when i leave the headlights on after engine is shut off?

Thanks again.

This is the sound it should make both when you put the key in and it should make the same when your headlights are on... Is your Dome light working? If I remember correctly they are tied together... Check your fuses.... Mine doesn't work because of some short but it doesn't bother me because I don't drive it daily... or at all now lol

If you open your car door without the key inside the ignition and your headlight switch is on either to parking lights or headlights, your car should have a constant beep that comes on.

Lotta folks replying here who don't know the CDM/USDM 5G Civic very well.

OP: Here is a nicest solution I've seen yet to your problem. Visit my DIY page (link in sig below) and click on "OEM EDM Lights-On Chime Retrofit".
