Headlight sometimes works, sometimes doesn't!

Hey guys, starting a little while ago, my left left headlight (low beam) would not always turn on when I started up the car, if I opened the hood and moved the wires around for it, then it came on and stayed on until the next time I started up the car and i would have to repeat this process everytime i started up the car. I took the car to Honda for warranty and they told me to put the stock bulbs back in...while I was changing the bulbs, I noticed that the plugs were brown and looked burnt, as well as one of the contacts on the bulb were turned brown (corrosion/burning?)...anyways, I just installed my stock bulbs for now and will see if I get the same problem....I have Luminics Pure Blue Krypton Series bulbs, I was told that I wouldn't need any wire harness for them....Are these bulbs burning my wires?? If yes, what are my options besides buying a wire harness? Thanks!

If they are pulling too much juice, then yes that could be frying your wires. (Check to see if you have the right fuses, the fuse should pop before the wire starts to melt) Also, it is common to see aftermarket bulbs like those explode, deform, melt etc. (They're cheap, plain and simple)

Your options are to either:
- Go back to oem
- Get some PIAA's (I was changing cheap bulbs every 1.5 months because they would burn out, I payed double for piaa's and never had a problem again)
-Switch to HID's they use half the juice and are much brighter. (8000k is what I have now, they are very nice looking but for visibility sake get 6000k)

Well the krypton series bulbs that I have came with a 2-year warranty...the bulbs haven't burnt out, but I think I have a problem with the wires....where do I look for the fuse, under the steering wheel? and what rating should it have for those bulbs? Also, would the wire harness solve my problem? I would go for HID's but their expensive:| Even if I bought HID's would I be able to remove them from my car and install them on someone else's if I got rid of my car, how does the whole compatibilty thing work? Thanks

What's the wattage on the bulbs? I'm not sure for 7th gen's but for 6th gens, stock wattage is 60/55. If you go too hot, you can run the risk of melting the harness.

I've been using genuine Osram SilverStars in my headlights and have no problems. The headlights do get hot because the light is brighter, but the wattage is the same so no harm is done.

So I removed my (luminics) bulbs, cleaned up the contacts and reinstalled them (on the opposite sides as before), and drove for about 15-20 minutes, then I started to smell a burning smell as I arrived at my destination...didn't really look into it cuz i didn't have time, but once I got home i removed the (luminics) bulbs and noticed that the plug on my left low beam bulb had melted...the bulb was still working, but it was burning the plug....i put in stock bulbs and will see how well they work during the day tomrow...
