I have noticed that hondas seem to have problems with the drivers side headlights goin out. Is there some type of fix for this? I have gone through 2 pairs of healights this month and both times it was the drivers side.

Maybe because it's a PITA to put in and people don't wear gloves like me, in that case it would burn out in a month or so. But seriously I have never heard that either.

You mean bulbs? Or actual headlights / housings? If it's the actual headlamp itself, you might want to consider where you're buying the shitty quality stuff from (or whatever shop you're having them do it, which IMHO is stupid because changing a headlamp is 1 of the easiest things to do).

If you mean headlight bulbs, don't touch the casing. The moment you touch them with your fingers (with no gloves, etc.) and turn them on, you can say bye bye to them. NEVER touch headlight bulb casings with fingers. Body oil, etc. contaminates them and DRASTICALLY decreases their life span by tons. Always grab them by the 3 prongs or the metal.

And changing a headlight bulb is cake. Maybe it's just cuz I have small hands / fingers. But it's very simply and takes me less than 30 seconds. It makes it easier if you take off the power steering fluid reservoir of the bracket and move it aside. Also use pliers to unhook / hook the little metal tab holding the bulb down.

You shouldn't even need to touch the bulb casing even WITH gloves. I have never once touched a headlight bulb casing ever in my life and I've gone through more than half a dozen bulbs in the past year.

I haven't had a problem like this at all... :what:

Check the wires, see if there is any bare wire showing or anything of the like.

yeah I have never had a problem with this either. I have owned 2 civics since 2002 and I have only bought 2 pairs of headlight bulbs in that span. 1 Set of Silverstars on the first car (which was then totaled by a crazy asian canadian driver) and in my current civic I have a set of PIAA's that work amazing. They may be slightly more expensive but they are def brighter than the silverstars, best thing you can get next to HID's.

its probably the wire harness. they get corroded over time and make a bad connection with the bulb's 3 prongs. i had to replace both of mine after they were burning out bulbs
