what can i do to my stock headlights to make them look a lot better. i already put new headlight bulbs in them but i want to do something to the corner lenses.
Got any ideas?

Make them clear, take the reflector and amber lens out... You'll havta take the lights apart

Just put a clear bulb in instead of the amber one. It reflects an awesome gold color.

If you are going to clear your lights, clear them, dont go halfway..Talk about the clean look

what kind of paint to i use to paint um. and does anyone have a pic of the parts to paint

i think the paint should be heat resistant.

I will paint mine too, but not by myself.

I like the small amber reflector on a white car. I agree though they don't look good on a red car. The clear definately looks better.

how are you suppose to take out the headlight housing?

I believe there are two screws that hold the reflector in place, but I am not totally sure - I just got these headlights and havent tried.

You can divide it in two parts. but You must glue it together in the end

dont tell them glue - you have to weather seal it when you put it back together.

what do you mean about heating them up in the oven? is that just to seal the housing?

heat um up so u can take the front off to clear out the reflector

The 'glue' thats used to bond the headlamp cover to the main unit is heated to 200oC when they make them, then cures as it cools. It also expands to create a air and watertight seal.

Thats why you have to heat them up to 200oC, to melt the bond.

Heres a link to a how-to about open up the headlamp to paint the bezal black and change the orange reflector to silver, which im sure came from another post on here somewhere:

Ok, ok =) no more glueing


as i do not want to do something wrong, i will let this job for profesionals, it will cost me round 40$ :roll:
