Hello from CenCal, 94 Civic LX 4door questions

I have a 5th gen that I have been using for a commuter car and now that life has handed me a little bit of cash, i wanted to get this thing to be ready for a few laps at the local autoX events here in the monterey bay. Here are the plans that I have in mind and where I hope to be at soon. My questions are where should I start in regards to the areas that I am looking to work on and any advice that you guys may have in what to do first, what pitfalls to avoid, and any tricks that may help. Links and long-worded posts are both welcome and appreciated.
Here's what I got:

• AEM Cold Air Intake
• DC Sports 4-2-1 headers
• My Car so far...

Here's what i want to work on first

• rear disk brake conversion
• Skunk2 coilover/lowered springs
• sways, ties
• steering wheel
• sport shifter
• D-series rebuild

Here's what I want later on:

• k20 or b18 swap
• seats
• etc...

Youve got the basic idea. Don't touch the engine anymore, simply work on suspension, get better brake pads, and save for a swap.
