I'm not sure if this thread goes here...but...

Hey guys! I'm from the GTA area in Ontario, and I'm just picking up a 1993 Honda Civic DX 3-door at the end of this week. I have test driven it and it's functioning well mechanically. I'm buying it from the original owner which is an 80 year old lady. Only downfall is the rust on the rear quarters, but I can fix that myself and it's an automatic since my summer car was a manual which was a load of fun to drive. This will be my winter car anyways, but I joined here if I will need any help or info on working with the car though.

Take a a guess.....500 CDN at 176xxx kms! Yep, ditto can't go wrong buying from an old lady knowing it hasn't been abused :P

I can easily do the rust repair on this car cause I've been working on cars all my life.

All this little car is new front lower ball joints and it's good to go on the road, which will be this friday, I hope cause I have a date on that day too....

Since this car has been treated well...I may consider keeping it in the spring and build it up into a pure track-whore while my summer car is on the road

Oh ya....I was curious what chassis code is this hatchback? I know of only the EG6 and the EK9, but I know this one isn't a EG6 cause it isn't a Si and doesn't have the VTEC b16 motor and it's not a EK9 cause it's too damn old :P. Well I said these things cause I'm more of a Mazda guy

Another question, are the EG6 parts interchangeable with this car? Because I might be replacing parts on this one with parts made for an EG6.

More noobish questions....

How hard is it to do a B16 swap from the EG6 with the manual tranny into this one (Just the labour alone, don't count the parts in it)?

I just picked it up today =)

Drives very smooth through all gears, as expected as a used car from an old lady
One more question, I saw this switch underneath the dashboard on the steering column, what is it for?

I'll post up a picture once I get one soon.

eg6 parts will swap right over

what parts did you have in mind?

b16 will take some work but you and a buddy could do it in a weekend

I was thinking of converting the rear drums into disc brakes from a eg6, and use the struts and springs from one as well.

Thanks for the info about the engine swap.

More Pics!

On the road waiting to go into the garage....

In the garage, being cleaned up a bit on the inside and checking condition of spare tire kit...

Again....

In the garage being cleaned up, and the summer car shows some jealously of the new car getting some TLC...

Again...

Interior seems in good shape...

The result of a little soap, water, sponge and elbow grease...
