hello,
some nice thoughtful ideas would really help guys.
ok. my dad bought me a burgundy (radiant red, r518 color code) 03 civic lx sedan auto back in november 2010( had no say, got it for me without me knowing). of course you know the specs (stock everything). this is my daily car driver back and forth from work to school. we got it for $7,000 and it only has 38,000 original miles which is a really good deal. i want to keep my car naturally aspirated and i do not want to do engine swaps because the engine i have is still 38,000k miles (and because of my budget too).
keep in mind that this car is daily driver and i do not race at all. i have a big family of brothers and sisters as well so the sedan was better suited. any ideas on how to make my car look better with ideas of adding a little speed to my car? i do not want that ricer look stuff because cars like that just look ugly and are a waste.
here are my ideas:
exterior:
front/rear rs lip
rs side skirts
16" black rims (i have my eyes on some rims already but not sure if i am 100% sure)
smoked headlights with white led strips towards the bottom (installed already, just need to change the bulbs to white and turn signals to amber...not hid)
yellow oem fog lights (need to install them still)
a carbon fiber hood (still deciding on a plain or one with those vents n stuff in them, the hood will be one of the last parts i buy though).
i wanted to put the type r spoiler but not so sure i want to anymore (if i decide on a spoiler, it will be one of those lip spoilers that are low).
was thinking of either blacking out my rear tail lights or changing them to black led tail lights. (thinking of changing them to the led tail lights.)
window tints (any ideas on the percent? maybe 5% on the back windows and 20% on passenger and driver side? any ideas)
was thinking about f1 fenders or something but i am not sure yet.
interior:
planning on adding a navigation system (i do a lot of driving back and forth sometimes into areas i am not familiar with).
i would like to change my dash board n stuff into wood trim or something like that but i am not sure yet.
not too much going on in the inside really since i will not be using this car for racing so no point of wasting money on extra gauges, racing seats/wheels etc.
suspension:
i want to lower my car like an inch (1.5 at most).
the hard part is that i do not know much about cars and all that, only basics.
i need ideas on good parts and brands but also affordable at the same time since i am still enrolled at a university.
engine:
of course i want more horsepower and speed but not too crazy because it is my everyday car and i do believe the more you add to the engine the more gas it will drink up.
want to add cold air intake, cat-back exhaust and racing headers but do not know good affordable brands that actually will give me a hint of power. also any other upgrades besides those that will add speed? remember, this car is not for racing, just everyday purposes so i do not want turbo and all that extra stuff. just the basics.
please reply back as your help is great appreciated.
thank you
