Hey guys i talked to my tuner and i was going to order a chipped ecu with crome and he said it looks simply enough to tune with, but to get it to work with my turbo d, do i have to buy the crome Pro, so that he can tune it? That would suck if i did, cuz i cant tune it myself so let me know thanks guys

No, at this point you shouldn't have to pay for crome or crome pro. The tuner pays the fee to be able to tune with crome pro, but can't charge you for the license unless they are a crome pro dealer.

So the answer is, you only need to get the chipped ecu that is setup to be tuned with crome and take it to the tuner and he will charge you a fee to tune the car, not for the software itself.

So he wont need the software on his computer, and if he does, he can use the download you get from there website to tune the ecu (im buying from you) thats crome ready? sorry i have little knowledge when it comes to the whole tuning thing (and another thing 93Turbo16 is that when i buy my ecu from you, do you put a basemap in it so that i can just plug it in and use it or do i need to get it tuned before i actually use it?)

if he doesnt have the software, that would mean he probly has never done it before and personally i wouldn't trust somebody whos never tuned with a certain chipped ecu before touch my car, because the tune is the most important part of any build.
