Help changing the turn signal speed, make them blink faster

does anybody know how to change the turn signal speed to make them blink faster?

They blick fast only when you have a blown or missing signal... such as if your front left signal is blown then your rear left signal & dash indicator will blink faster. or like in a Accord or 4th gen civic if the front left bumper light blows then the upper front left & rear left & dash indicator blinks faster... sorry this is not a mod just a blown light

thanks for the info, although i am curious because i see the faster light blinkers around town all the time. and i live in a small town (3x3 milies) so either there is a mod, or there are a crap load of lazy people with burn out lights.

for starters, go to radio shack and buy a 1k ohm pot.

1. remove blinker relay from fuse box
2. remove cover from relay
3. using a DMM, find the 100 ohm resistor
4. cut resistor off board, leaving enough wire to solder small lengths of speaker wire onto
5. solder speaker wire to board
6. solder other ends of speaker wires to terminals on pot.
7. reinstall blinker relay
8. turn on turn signal and check out what happens as you adjust pot

i have a hyper blinker on my civic...something like 4-6 blinks/sec...just go on ebay, look up hyper blinker or something and match it with your car. Then once you get it, take out the relay (black box located near the fuse panel under the driver dash), and replace it with the hyper blinker relay. Then it should blink faster.

If you dont know which box to remove, simply turn on your car, turn the blinker on, and feel for the pulse near the fuse box. The one that pulses with the signal is the relay that you will want to remove and replace with the hyper blinker.

dude..i thought u just had to buy a smaller bulb that puts out a lower amount of watts...i've tried finding it..but..can't do it...though the older model cars car it....u can cut wires and all that stuff but..u can just buy a new bulb...

just get an led turn signal replacement bulb...
you'll get that crack head / racer signal ur after...

i haven't heard of this way of doing it...naw, i just bought the relay box for mine...seriously, it took 1 min to put in...no tools/experience required the way I did it, and my blinker/hazards are super fast now.

i've never been pulled over for using a hyper blinker...my friend has one too, and never been pulled over for it.

I dont think in the police codebook it says anywhere about blinkers having to be a certain speed. It does attract more attention, but i dont think believe they can write you a ticket for it.

yeah,i know...i just figured since the guy who was asking was from CA, it would apply, since i'm from CA as well.
