changing 5th gen speakers are a pain in the ass if the speaker doesn't line up wit the oem bracket... or even the holes on the door. on the door u just pull off the grill from bottom going up and then unscrew the speakers and install the new ones... for the back there are 3 or 4 screws from under the the back panel thingy lol sry. but thats how u get the grill off the back... then u just unscrew the old speakers and put in the new ones... for my speakers in the front... my speakers came wit a universal bracket to hold the speakers but i still had trouble and screw on one screw for the universal bracket and duct tape the rest then mount the speakers on... back i just mount one hole and duct tape rest cuz that didn't come wit universal bracket... lol hope this help alil....

your new speakers came with a bracket right? when i bought my speakers they were too deep to fit in the oem brackets so i took the bracket i got from the kit, screwed 2 or 3 of the screws into the oem bracket then screwed in my speakers. if you take out your oem bracket and put in the aftermarket one you might have issues rolling your windows down all the way.

It's not hard.

If you have some patience you can do the door speakers without pulling the inside door panel. You might have to loosen a panel clip to get access but it can be done

Unless you have thin mount Blaupunkts or something, you're going to have to cut the back of the black plastic speaker mount. The magnets on the back of the crappy factory Pioneers are small.

You got it apart anyway, why not put some dynomat down while you're at it?

The rear deck speakers are easy.

It wont be 5 minutes... my fronts in my 6th gen took about 20 mins...

Whoever said it is hard, is on crack, or doesnt know what he/she was doing.
