K i did it myself without any prior knowledge. Made my own box. K. Put the red wire from yuor battery (with a fuse inbetween, comes with installation kit), and take it to the subwoofer box. ON a civic everything screws off or pulls orr so putting it under the panneline aint a thang. There's also a few holed int he firewall to got hrough. Follow the on from the ecu, (left passenger side) and cut a hols smaller than the diameter of the positive (red) wire thourgh it. Run the wire throught there to the battery. Then, take the wire that is 2 parts with the little rca connect on the end and plug one end into the decks imputs and one end into the amps inputs. There's 2 plugs that look like this ont he amp. Use the one that isnt the passthourgh. lol. Black to white and red to red. Then take the small speaker wire from the kit and run it from the deck to the amp. Connect it to the amp by splicing it onto the blue wire with black stripe. This wire basically tells your amp when to turn on and off. Rca's go tot he rca plugs ont he deck. little acc wire to the port on the deck that says accesory or sometihng like that. Red to the b+ or + one. Then plug the other big wire into the ground on the amp. It's a nother little port. Ground it on the fram somewhere. The tailights have a big dscrew under em. Scrape away some of the paint and tightly ground the white wire to the frame. On the amp it'll have small ports. labeled + - + - for one sub wire take the wire from the first + on and run it to the + one on the sub. Then run the res tof thew wire from the - terminal ont he sub back to the amp where you'll plug it into the 4th terminal (-). Make sure everything is tight. tjhen fire her up. On the back of yuor box there might be little clips. Thats so you can run the apeaker wire to the clam and then to the subs so the box can be removed easily. I just drill hole sint he box and run the wire through. SMALL holes though so no air can get out. Then you dont get any distortion at all.Make sure everythig is tight and fire it up. lol
ok so, i tried installing it but it failed.... =/
i connected battery to amp with fuse in between, i connected pre output from my deck to the amp input, i connected a remote wire (i think it was a remote wire, not sure. maybe this was the problem to my failed installation) to my amp, then i grounded the wire from my amp to the car.
i have a panasonic deck and an infinity amp.
when i turn on the deck and battery of my car, the amp turns on and goes off in about 3 seconds, i have no clue why....
can you help me???
