How can I remove my spare key from the ignition? I just got it today, it barely worked opening my doors and turning the ignition. After driving home from the mall, the key could not turn backwards. It snapped in half like this - -o. There is about 1/4 inch sticking out ot the ignition. What should I do? A. disasemble the ignition B. grab pliers and force the key backward so I can remove it or C. Do something better?
:(

I'd imagine you should just replace the ignition.

Where did you get the spare from? Sometimes a spare that is tough to use in the lock cylinder can be sanded down so it works a bit better.

get a pair of needle nose pliers and grab the end of the key, push in, and turn it back towards you then pull it out. worked for me before.

Case closed, I got a locksmith to take it out. I used my Dad's AAA card and ended up paying $50 out of my pocket. Lesson learned: don't buy cheap keys!

Honda should charge $5-7 or so for a cut key.
