Ok well I need a rollbar next year to be able to run at a real track, no use getting my suspension done just in time for winter but I might just go a head n get the rollbar over w/

I'm so torn between these two.

1) Twin hoop

The twin hoop I believe is stronger, in testing the frame bent before the bar did.....

2) Single hoop

I know which one OC'd pick :bluelol:

i pick twin hoop cuz you said it's stronger than the single hoop but can you still put your soft top with the twin hoop?

shane, i think i would go with the twin hoop. To me it looks like it provides more rigidity then the single hoop.

twins seem to be popular here.

I'm waiting for a reply from the manufacture if the twins offer any increased rigidity, if the single hoop double diags offer substantially more that may sway my decision.

Thanks for the opinions guys keep em coming!

I voted single.
Looks better IMO, and might be easier to find camera mounts on it.

I think roll cages should be for protection, not looks (even though I think the single looks better =) ). So I dont care if the other one looks classy. Go with what's proven.

yeah i thought about the camera mount too

I'd have to get that harness bar to mount one horizontally.

both are proven safe so at this point it's about rigidity/looks for me....hmmmm

im no engineer just ye, but here's my two cents Shane. twin hoop has a few more strong points, which can then result in less stress on the bars, and eventually making it more rigid.

Thanks Hector! tha'ts a good point and great illustration =)

FYI that harness bar is another $180 on top of it so I won't be getting that right off the bad if I wen that route....

I'd go twin, looks OEM-ish, but really sporty. The single one may turn more heads, but twin looks better.

Both styles will give you a noticeable stiffening of the car - it is mostly just aesthetics.
so it comes down to styling preference :D

If you're anywhere near 6 feet tall and the car rolls you would just land on your head anyways.
