ok i got a dilemma!!

I have planned a b18c swap, the mechanic says he will try and make it a B18c ITR engine if he can find a good deal in japan on the engine if not then b18 GSR it is.

Eiher way he has qouted me £6500 for the swap, clutch, suspension, brakes, iridium plugs, ultralight flywheel etc!

But i jus cant decide whether to go thru with it!! I want to , i really do, but i jus keep thinkin, insurance is gonna kill me, its gonna drink petrol like a b***h, and after doin it ill be broke! When i cud use that money constructively to make more money!

But then the racer in me is thinking, all them mutha f**kas who try racing me jus imagine the look on their face when they try it again and all they say is me speedin it into the distance!! And i gotta do it i jus gotta but what about the cost!

f**k man i cant decide!! Some1 help me!! I know i have to do it, but shall i do it now and do something constructive with any money i have later or shall i wait!! oh f**k man every time i think about it i get stressed out.

When some1 tries to race me i think thats it im doin it!! ARRRRGH

i think you should get the swap, my only question is how is getting a motor swap going to effect your insurance.

yeah, they still keepo the same vin, and if u have an ex or whatever, it will still be insurance for that, unless you get it re-whatevered to account for the money u put into the engine incase ur car gets stolen or wrecked.

he's in the uk they doent doit like we do it here..get an issue of maxpower man..there insurance is crazy s**t..and very expensive..any mods done to a car and insurance goes up and up, motor swaps and s**t and it really goes up, stock lump=motor but body mods and it's not bad, but still goes up...but please correct me if i'm wrong, i used to know a girl that lived in "Essex?" is that right, can't remember but she was giving me the lowdown on that shizie.

yeh thats right essex!

yeh here in the uk as soon as i tell them ive chnaged my 1.5 LSi into a 1.8 ITR my insurance will probably double! Considering its at £2300 at the moment and thats cuz i paid it all in one go (had i paid monthly after interest it would have been more).

They might not even insure me cuz here we have to be like 25 to drive certain cars (skylines etc) and i know initially with only the body mods on they wudnt insure me till i was 21 cuz the car was too modified and my age group were statistically a risk!

yeh it sucks big time, i think im gonna go thru with the swap, u guys have convinced me (thanks!)! But wont really be able to drive it on the road till i can afford to insure the civic!

that is the way the Uk is....although im not being funny but if i were you if your under 21.it might be better for you if you wait a little while before you go too crazy..or 'ahem' do what I do dont tell them haha!!

yeah, how long can u go without telling them? how often do u get pulled over? i would just say f**kit with insurance.....

im thinkin that but if some prat crashes into me totally f**kin the car up then im screwed!! Atleast with insurance they will have to replace part for part or payout!

Otherwise id have no problems as its easy to show the cops ur insured when really ur not!! lol Cops are so dumb! (of course none of this is true! *ahem*)
