ok heres my problems guys... i just got my car on the road (just sold my integra) its a 1995 civic DX hb. I have to get an inspection within 10 days and my brake lights dont work when i push on the brake pedal. All the parking lights work just fine but no brake lights. does anybody have any suggestions? i dont think its the fuses or the bulbs but im gonna check them tomorrow since i've been so busy with work. Is there some kind of relay or switch that activates the brake light when you push the pedal? thanks in advance!

yeah i was thinking thats it too but isn't the parking lights the same as the brake lights in the back? they just light up brighter when you push the brake?

on the relay map it will say brake light parking light is for the headlight, and it might just be the bulbs if one is out usually both will go out

i had the same problem except my brake pedal was f**ken hard to push and none of them wouldnt turn on.........if u have any rice accesories on your car such as...well example of me..strobes...they happen to be directly connected in the dashboard fuse box so....we unplugged that s**t bc something was touching metal or sum bs like that.....so make sure u look through ur fuse box to find wires touching other wires....=)

the bulbs are dual filament, so the brighter filament could have gone(unlikely for ALL of them to go at once) but that switch you are refering to is right above the brake pedal. stick your head in the footwell, then press the pedal and you should see it. the pedal should press the switch when normal, then it should release the switch when depressed and thats what activates the lights. they do go bad sometimes.

Bangin' HB, you were right it with the dual filament. for some reason all the brake lights went even the 3rd brake light. so there must have been a surge or something that blew them out. now i just need to find out how to replace the third brake light. do you guys know? and thanks for the help!
