the difference between sy a 1000watt 2 channel amp and a 1000 watt mono is you take two channels and split them in half so 500 watts per channel(so you don't get the same power) I could understand this when I first started in audio but 1000 watt normal amp usually runs at 500 watts rms(consistent power) a 1000 watt mono amp is pushing out alot closer to its "1000 watt" power. I may be wrong but as an example bridging is like take a bone stock civic putting a turbo on it and expecting the best!...Won't happen, I've had 2, 4, 6 and mono channels and by far the mono has impressed me the most, I had a single kenwood thouasand watt mono amp hooked up to 3 12 inch kenwood subs in my 90 hatchback and was hitting about 138dbs it produces alot more power, and now that i have rambled on. Mono is better if you want KA-BOOM
