okay so heres the problem the lady im trying to buy the car from says that a guy started up her car and was gonna test drive it. As soon as he turned the a/c on the engine cut and they are not able to start it back up. Would there be anything with the a/c that would do this or no? hopefully you can answer fast because its a good deal right now cuz its 500 cheaper since she doesnt know whats wrong.

Each of you has expressed an interest in the ’98 Honda Civic I have for
sale – thank you for your inquiries. I’m attaching pictures and some
additional information, as some things have changed since listing. A guy
came to look at the car on Thursday, started it up with no issue, but
without getting it out on the street and running it for a bit, he turned on
the a/c and killed the engine. It will no longer start. So, I’m selling it
“as is”, and do have interested buyers.

Thats what she said had happened

may have just got a power surge from the a/c and popped a fuse. some may say the a/c pump locked up but all that would do is squeel lick crazy until the belt snapped. i would still check that anyway though. first thing first though. check and see if it even trys to crank. if it does then see if its getting fuel or spark. then go from there. dont tell her what is the problem just tell her how much it will cost to fix it. that way she cant get it fixed and charge more again.
