Ok, so i got a Sony Xpod head unit, it worked awesome, but for some reason it just stopped.
Fuses are all good, so my friend and i connected it to the battery to check if that would work, when we did that it did turn on, but when we connect it to the wires on the dash, it doesn't... help?

We also conected the headunit from my friend's car into mine, and it did not work....

there's a fuse box right next to your battery.

One of the power wires isn't getting power to the deck. Either you have a cut wire, a bad splice, or the fuse is blown. You can either find this problem and fix it or find out which wire (constant positive or keyed power) is the culprit and make a new one tapping from another source.

You may also have a bad ground wire.

You should also get rid of the tape and crimp your connections. I also solder mine for extra protection but that is over kill in some people's opinion.

Glad it was a simple fix.

It doesn't take much to blow a fuse. That is why they are there. If it keeps blowing, I would definitely check into it.
