Help!! Seat Belt Trim

Ok got a question. Is there anyway of taking the plastic trim off the seat belt? Im trying to paint my interior panels black and i need to get that trim off to paint it black as well. So does it come off the belt or do i need another seat belt? here is the part im talking about

Tape it off and shoot it black, its a seat belt the grey and black combo would look bad ass...

You should be able to unbolt it from the top and slide the metal clip though that piece.

tried and failed. lol

only thing i can think of then is to either tape the rest off and paint it carefully, or you can get takata harnessess lol.
