Help! Should I Buy? Pics Inside

Heres the info
I’m selling my 94 Honda civic. The car is lowered, has cold air intake, header and catback Magnaflow exhaust, strut tower, short shifter, xenon urethane rear bumper, Grillcraft front inserts, black headlights/corners, clear tails, slotted disc brakes, 1.5L sohc engine painted flat back and new battery. The interior is stock with a Pioneer deck that plays WMA/MP3/AAC with AUX input and satellite radio ready. 220,000 kms on body, around 140,000 on engine. Mobil One synthetic oil only changed every 4,000 kms. Everything works; this car is really cheap on gas and insurance and will give it to you certified and with a set of 4 winter tires/rims and McGard lug nuts. I just changed the left rear wheel bearing, oil and catalytic converter. Have receipts to proof the changes. I’m asking 1550 for the car without the rims and low profile tires or best reasonable offer. I’ve had the car for almost three years and it has never left me stranded. I love this car but I bought a new one and don’t have enough space in the garage. I’ve put so much money into this car because I wasn’t planning on selling so you’re getting an excellent deal with an awesome car; you won’t be disappointed.

94 civic what to watch for?

thanks for the replies guys. i was just wondering when i go to look at the car what are some areas to watch for? what are some inherent problems with these cars? anything that may be a sign that something is up with the car? thanks

i would offer him like 1300. especially because of its age. look to see if the a/c works, any visible leaks, all those sort of things. i believe i saw this on the kijiji in hamilton or london or somehting while locally browsing for random stuff haha

id buy, not a fan of the bumpers or rims, or taillights personally but looks clean as hell, dont forget to check that thing up and down, like civicsicoupe check forleaking and what not and all the fluids, i didnt and they were nasty as hell

id buy it, with 140,000 on the engine, id look for oil leaks, rust in place you wouldnt expect (suspension areas). id see how low you can get him, offer him 1000 and see where it goes from there, its an "older" vehicle, with lots of milage on the engine and chasis, and you know that 1) its a civic and 2) all the stuff thats been done to it, you know it wasnt driving around town like it had ms daisy in it. also ask him when the last time he changed the spark and wires, if he replaced the water pump and just general maintance stuff like that, it just gives you more info to bargin with since your gunna have to change/fix s**t like that in the not so distant future, so thats extra money right outa your pocket.

i'd check the radiator for cracks along the top, oil leaks(since it's flat black prolly anything shiny), ask him to start it up and see if it's blowing smoke out of the muffler, and make sure the speedometer works. the wires can get fried sometimes if they're sitting in the sun waay too long. and speedo's like to go out on cars this old. i shuld know >.<


but for the price that's really good. or atleast over here it is.

as a comparison my friend just offered me 2500 for my bone stock 92 hatch

omg this is a really good deal for this car... hatches in my area go really high... ive seen stock hatches go for 3500-4k easy all the time.. looks like you've got a really good deal on your hands, just make sure it's not burning oil, and check for rust and wear and tear. for 1500 though you can't beat it... hatches are pretty hard to come by, but almost never at that price! i'd scoop it up in a heartbeat if it was in my area

If you like it, buy it! If it's w/in your means get it. i've seen worse, and personally it's not my collective style of choice. Screw the world and it's thoughts! DO YOU!
