!help Tails!!!

Ok, so today i got my 99-00 Tail Lights from Procarparts.com. I start installing and i turn on my car before i screw anything in or change anything else. Right now My LEFT SIDE OF MY CAR has on the new tails and the RIGHT side has the OEM's. I wanted to see if the new ones worked. So i turn on my car and WTF? Basically my car hessitates when i turn it on like energy is being sucked out of it, and When i press on the brake the bottom half of The NEW lights, LIGHT UP as well, they dont do this on the OEM, and also when i tap the brake my Head Unit Dims (its stock). ALSO when i tap my brake my left blinker turns on like i put them on, it doesnt blink just stays solid. So whats the deal? The Right Sides dont do any of this, and i put the OEMS back on the left side and it works? Any Ideas. . . thoughts . . . or suggestions?

as far as the lights comin on in the wrong place you just have the bulbs switched, just take both of them out and switch them

mmmk i will try that but what about the diming and engine hesitation type s**t? But also when u say the bulbs on wrong BOTH lights come on when i tap the brakes . . .? not just one BOTH So top and bottom are lit on the new ones, while on OEM just the top . . .

unless you messed with the wiring i dont know, because all the tail lights are are housing, there only function is to hold the lights in place and give them some kind of color, they dont affect wich lights come on at what time

the light is jst the shell, nothing to to with n e wiring...

yeah. u messed up somewhere. its not the new tails cuz all they are is housing. u still use the same bulbs and wiring. so u must have done something when u were doing the install money

what happens is, if you don't plug the right bulb in the right socket, or if you don't connect it properly, the car will let you know somehow.

One of mine wasn't properly plugged in and the blinker blinked extremely fast and I knew something was wrong.

doble check with the oem side to make sure the right bulbs are in the correct sockets... then check for any pinched or loose wires... other than that, i dunno what else

ok i'm not having problems with the OEM's they work like a charm its the new tail lights that i just bought that i'm having trouble with, and i didnt touch any wiring so far, but me and my dad are going to piddle with it this weekend to try and fix the problem.

did you try the other new tail? maybe the wiring in that one is defective?
