Justgot my first civic its a 94 ex 4dr just needs alil tlc 2 start it burns oil n motor shakes only whenin drive
And when im not on the gas but in n it idles fine so what is that? N I have noticed loss of power?need tha help thanx

Do they not teach proper english or punctuation in schools anymore?

Sounds like u may have s broken engine mount.
And burning oil isnt good. Have a compression test and leak down test done...

^ This. And a tune up wouldn't hurt either. If you just got the car it wouldn't be a bad idea to change all your fluids, bleed the clutch and brakes, etc. Good luck with it and let us know what you find!

Like said, I always change all fluid and do a tune-up whenever I buy a new car. I also second the notion of a bad engine mount, you will have to determine which one.

BTW just for our sake, do have the ability to do your own work or will you be taking it to a shop?

Agreed id change all fluids, oil and do a full tune up to you it because you never know when the last time they where done.
Sounds like mount to me as well.

Sorry bout spelling phone wasnt working and I needed to post something ..anyway got a blown head gasket my mounts are good.. Doing work myself with help from my buddy thanks again guys n girls

How much should head gasket cost if I do it my self and doing little stuff like timming belt while im there? And how long will it take?

To get a whole upper end gasket set will cost $100-$200ish depending on what you get. And I don't know how much you are planning on checking, but theres more to replace than the head gasket if a car has been overheating.
