i just installed my amp and subs a few days ago

what happened was it was doing koo in the first day up until today..the beat started to stop kicking as hard and im thinking wtf..

turns out the "thermal" light came on (the amp turns itself off when its overheating or whatever) and now i cant get it back to work..i read the manual and it said many reasons can cause this
1) no enough airflow to keep it cool
2) wires might be loose
3) not enough battery voltage to charge it back up or something

i just rechecked the wires..tightened everything to make sure everythings koo but the light is still on..
what i have is a rockford fosgate punch p3001 @ like 300watts rms powering a 10inch type r sub ..
im running 12k HID's also with deck and front/back pioneer speakers..may it be that i dont have enough battery voltage since im running on a stock autolite?

the ground connection has to be 100% in working order (connected securely and connected to a conductant <--sp? surface)

The 3001 is a mono block so its fine to run the type r a little underpowered but ok

The ground need to be at least 6 inches from the amp, if its in your trunk it should be ran on 4 gauge wire.
The area of the ground must have all paint stripped all the way to the bare metal and a solid connection. I put two self tappers to the ground sometime three. One through the eye of the connecter and one to two on either sides to make sure it doesnt come lose
