HELP ME, ok, i tried to install a new TB on my 95 dx d15b7 last night, it was a ls one, and when i got it on i had a high idle like at 1800 and when i reved it it would go up to say 3400 and then STAY like the thorttle would stick but my pedal would come back down, the engine was also running quite rich because i could smell gas, well neway it was late so i decided to just deal w/ it later and put my old one back on well when i reinstalled the stock one, it got rid of all the problems except that it is still running VERY VERY rich, i have lots of white smoke comming out of the exhast and it sounds horrible, much deeper gurgling type sound, and is uneven, jus tlike bluhb, blubh blubh, nasty, and im sure that im runnin rich still smell gas and at one point when i reved the engein to about 3k some liquid came out of the exhast, couldnt really tell what it was because the smell of the smoke was so strong that i couldnt really smell the liquid, anybody have ANy idea what may be going on???? im completly clueless, i tried resettin my ecu but to no avail, im throwing no codes on the CEL light but ive heard there may be codes any way the light jus isnt commin on anyway yea any help guys?? thanks!!

by the way if anyone has neideas on the othe problems w/ the LS throttle body i would love to have ne help, cuz i do plan to get it back on, just wanna fix this problem first! thanks

White smoke is usually a sign of water/antifreeze burning. You didnt mess with the head any did you. White smoke is usually the head gasket.

Most likely what they said, a blown headgasket. Running rich would have you blowing out black smoke. Check your oil to see if it's mixed with coolant.

Having the thottle cable too tight will indeed make you have a higher idle.. more fuel consumption.

if its just the throttle body you changed, did you misplace a vacuum hose with the coolant hose? check into that.

mugen tuned you are way off just to let you know... you can drive a blown head gasket car for a real long time. my d was driven for like 300-600 miles it just ran hot.

from what ive seen bro, mind you this was on a saturn, the head gasket was fully blown and the combustion chambers got so filled with coolant that there was no compression and spark since everything was saturated. this is why i said what i said, heh. anyways, all cars differ in engine function due to its build.

Yea u can still drive with a blown head gasket. Def get it replaced. I would do it as soon as possible cause u can start f**king up your coolant and even start leaking.
